Baby Steps

This is my first piece of artwork I have ever contributed to an art class at my current school, Hilton Head Island High School. My teacher was Rebecca Lines, and it was my first project for my Drawing I class sophomore year. This is a forever ago in art years, and its eerie to look at my first attempts. While modest, I admit that I am extremely impressed by my first effort at drawing a neo-classical original Greek vase. The scene depicted is a battle, and my media was mediocre at best. I didn't know better at the time, but I was bold enough to mix charcoal, soluable graphite, and colored penicil together on this one project. Even as a multimedia artist (currently), this was a stretch. In all honesty, I ran out of black colored pencil for the actual vessel itself, and took to using graphite and some charcoal to replace it. Feedback is, as always, greatly appreciated.
